Atom Integration

Atom for Windows (see pdf)

  1. Install the Atom editor onto your system. You can download the editor here
    • Download the file named atom-windows.zip
  2. Extract zip files or unzip files
  3. Find the Atom Extension Directory on your PC & then copy the unzipped files into that directory
  4. Open the Atom application and go to Packages --> Ion CMS --> Toggle
  5. If it is your first time running the add on you will be prompted to enter a password.
    • Email and password need to be exactly the same info that you use to log into the back end of Nesthub!!
  6. Once the setup is complete you will see a window on the right hand side that will allow you to open a site.

Atom for Mac

  1. Install the Atom editor onto your system. You can download the editor here
    • Download the file named atom-mac.zip
  2. Unzip the file
  3. Find the Atom Extension Directory on your Mac using the Finder: ~/.atom
  4. Copy the unzipped files into that directory
  5. Open the Atom application
  6. If it is your first time running the add on you will be prompted to enter a password.
    • Email and password need to be exactly the same info that you use to log into the back end of Nesthub!!
  7. Once the setup is complete you will see a window on the right hand side that will allow you to open a site.

Opening a Site

  • Open the Atom application and go to Packages --> Ion CMS --> Toggle
  • To open a site, right click on the right hand panel and select "Find Site", "Add Site", or "Open Site". Enter the subdomain and click Ok or press enter.
    • **Find Site - Search by temporary site name, site domain or DNS domain. (**best option)
    • Add Site - Adds a site that will persist even when atom is closed.
    • Open Site - Opens a site only until it is removed or atom is closed.

Color Coding

  • Red - Folders that show up as red are part of a created secure zone.
  • Green (Templates) - Set as the default Templates.
  • Green (/) - Set as start page.

Atom Keyboard Shortcuts

Highlighting multiple lines at a time to create multiple tags at at time

  • Hold down Cmd + click on all lines individually you want to work with (for a PC use Control instead of Cmd)
  • Type out the tag you want at the start then hold down Cmd + the right arrow > on your keyboard to space over to the other side to close out the tag
